Home School

Berean Christian and Alpena area Home School partnership program.

Alpena BCS is a diverse community of learners and faith, providing a nurturing yet challenging environment that motivates students to become responsible citizens who lead by example. Alpena BCS’s mission is to develop young minds that are honest seekers of truth, independent thinkers, and not mere reflectors to other men’s thoughts. The school strives to develop the harmonious development of mind, body, and spirit that will prepare them to be an influence for good wherever providence places them. The school works in a close concert with parents to achieve these goals. If you share these goals, we look forward to spending some time with you exploring how working together we can accomplish these goals in the lives of your children

Our Staff at Alpena BCS and its governing body are committed to supporting Home school parents and their children. We believe parents rightly equipped are the ultimate educators and it is our purpose to provide programs and opportunities that will greatly enhance their home school experience. We strongly support our home school community and welcome the opportunity to host home school groups in our facility and offer a wide range of support options for both parents and children.

3. Alpena BCS Music options:  Our performing fine arts program is simply designed to teach students how to convey artistic expression publicly. Our program includes a variety of disciplines and levels of mastery but all are intended at some point to be performed in front of a live audience. This is where students come together to develop their artistic talents and where they can share their creations of talent and labor with a larger community. For working parents, we offer expanded hours for both pre and post-school hours. During this time your student can participate in scholastic and athletic options, get some help with school work, peruse music interests or enjoy some exercise in the gym. There is a small fee for this option and you will need to sign up during the registration process.

Classes in music appreciation and private music lessons in string and wind instruments along with coral and symphonic performance opportunities are also available to all our home school parents and students

4. Bible Discovery Days:  Every Saturday 9:45 am to 10:45 am
